OVER MONIQUE LILY

My name is Monique Lily. Born and raised in Amsterdam, with a passion for color, creativity, and connection. I've been painting since 2009—and what started as a small project has grown into a colorful journey around the world.

For years, I worked at the State Fair of Texas in the US, where I learned to create powerful designs in a short time. Not just quickly for the sake of it—but thoughtfully constructed, with an understanding of form, flow, and focus. This combination of speed and design construction is something I like to share in my workshops, so that face painting becomes logical and creativity can flow.

My style is recognizable by Mystic Lines—free, flowing lines that bring a design to life. Abstract, graceful, and sometimes a touch mysterious. I love face painting that's not only beautiful but also sets something in motion. It makes you feel something.

I teach in the Netherlands and internationally—from festivals to conventions, from beginners to professionals. Over the years, I've learned that good technique is important… but even more important is the courage to let go. Allowing yourself to create from your own flow.

I'm happy to contribute to that. To people who want to feel their strength. Who want to discover their own style. Who want to build the confidence to truly be themselves in what they create.

Besides face painting, I'm also an intuitive artist. In my Healing heART Studio in Nieuwegein, I create space for everything that flows: from paintings and color healings to creative workshops and healing sessions. My Find Your Flow Card Deck helps others unleash their creative energy. I develop online annual programs, host live sessions, and guide people on their own journey—whether that's about face painting, color, healing, or awareness.
